Three weeks have passed since the initial procedure for declaring firearms found by citizens. The Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of Ukraine has accepted the first results of this campaign, which aims to ensure control over the illegal circulation of weapons and increase the level of security in the country.
This is reported by " Law and Business " with reference to the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
During this period, Ukrainians have already declared more than 1,000 crimes in the bodies of the National Police. units of firearms (including more than 350 assault rifles and 470 smoothbore rifles), as well as more than 80,000 ammunition
Another 59 weapons and more than 18,000 of ammunition were voluntarily handed over to the police by citizens without declaration.
How to declare found or received weapons?
Submit the weapon and a package of necessary documents (written application; passport; identification code; extract of place of residence/registration; photo card 3.5x4.5) to the nearest unit of the NPU, after which wait for the appropriate decision to be made.
