In the first five months of 2025, 223.4 thousand bicycles were imported into Ukraine, which is 20% more than in the same period last year. Such data were published by the State Customs Service.
The total cost of imported bicycles was almost $ 12 million. At the same time, the country's budget received more than UAH 158 million from customs clearance of these products.
The customs service noted that the growth of imports is not only associated with the arrival of the warm season, when Ukrainians are traditionally more active in buying bicycles for walks and travel. It also indicates a steady popularization of two -wheeled transport as a daily vehicle in cities.
Interestingly, the vast majority of imported bicycles - 98.7% - comes from China. This indicates the dominance of Chinese manufacturers in the Ukrainian market, as well as stable logistics with this country.
