Ukrainians who were left homeless during the war can receive compensation

Starting today, Ukrainians who have received housing certificates "yeVidnovnaly" as compensation for destroyed property, have the opportunity to submit an application for the reservation of funds for the purchase of a new home. This was announced by the Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov on his social media page.

According to him, Ukrainians can buy a house or an apartment with the help of these certificates. To take advantage of the opportunity, you need to select housing, negotiate with the seller, update the "Action", and then open the "Certificates" tab for the housing and select "Reserve funds" in the "isRenewal" section. Within five working days, "Diyu" will receive a confirmation of the reservation of funds.

Ukrainians who have already reserved funds are given 30 days to complete the purchase and sale agreement. You can buy housing both in a new building and on the secondary market. There is also an opportunity to invest in construction.

"If you cannot make it in time, you can apply for the reservation of funds again. Only notaries who have access to the Register of damaged and destroyed property can draw up a sales agreement. Within five days, the funds will be deposited into the account of the home seller," Fedorov noted.

The minister also emphasized that before booking funds under the certificate, it is important to make sure that you have already terminated the right of ownership of the destroyed real estate object. This can be done at the TsNAP or at a notary who has the authority of the state registrar.
