Serhiy Kulish won a gold medal at the European Shotgun Shooting Championships in Osijek, Croatia. This is his first personal “gold” and first medal in this discipline at the European Championships.
As reported by the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine, Kulish, who is a two-time Olympic silver medalist, demonstrated the best result in 10-meter air rifle shooting. The ministry congratulated the champion and expressed hope for further successful performances by the Ukrainian national team, whose competitions will last until March 13.
Ukrainian athletes continue to demonstrate high results in other disciplines. Earlier, track and field athlete Yaroslava Maguchikh won the “gold” of the European Championship in the Netherlands, overcoming a height of 199 cm. She left behind her rivals from Serbia and Sweden, who finished the competition with a result of 195 cm.
Elina Svitolina also excelled in tennis, regaining her status as Ukraine's number one. Currently, three more Ukrainians are in the top 100 of the WTA world rankings – Marta Kostyuk, Dayana Yastremska, and Angelina Kalinina.
