Partners provided additional financial assistance to Ukraine

Ukraine received additional funding in the amount of 1.34 billion dollars for partial compensation of state budget expenditures not related to the sphere of security and defense. This funding came within the framework of the World Bank project "Supporting public expenditures to ensure sustainable public administration in Ukraine" (PEACE in Ukraine), which is implemented to ensure stability and support social expenditures.

Financing consists of a loan from the World Bank in the amount of 1.086 billion US dollars through the Trust Fund for providing the necessary credit support to Ukraine (ADVANCE Ukraine) under the guarantee of the Government of Japan. In addition, grants were received from Norway (US$190 million), the United States Government (US$50 million) and the Swiss Government (US$20 million) through the respective funds for supporting and reforming Ukraine.

The received funds are intended for compensation of expenses, in particular for pension payments and payments to employees of the State Emergency Service (ESES). The Minister of Finance of Ukraine, Serhiy Marchenko, emphasized the importance of international financial assistance in ensuring the country's financial and economic stability and ensuring priority social costs during the war.
