Ukrainian analysts and military bloggers express serious criticism of the Ukrainian authorities for spreading unrealistic news from the battlefield, CNN reports.
According to the report, Russian forces have achieved success in at least three points on the eastern side of the Ukrainian front, carrying out tactical offensives on a daily basis and setting a new pace on the battlefield.
Against this background, military bloggers and analysts criticize reports from official sources about the situation at the front for being unrealistic.
One of Russia's main efforts is concentrated in the Donetsk region, where, according to monitoring group DeepState, Russian troops are advancing in eight different locations along the front line. Elsewhere, about 180 km to the north, Russian troops also achieved their first successes in almost three months on the part of the front line that cuts into the Kharkiv region.
"You can happily watch forever a video of a Russian (soldier) being torn to pieces.
But there is another location nearby that needs attention: the Russians are calmly moving through the village, keeping it under control. The defense forces are inflicting fire damage on them, and you can repeat at least a billion times (on national television) that two-thirds of the village is under the control of the Ukrainian military, but the picture of reality is completely different ,” writes DeepState.
Last week, the monitoring site filed a similar complaint against the military, accusing "some representatives" of incompetence, writes CNN.
Ukrainian army commander Oleksandr Syrskyi responded to those concerns in a Telegram message on Sunday, suggesting that the misunderstanding arose because of the instability of the developments. But at the same time, Syrskyi also admitted that the general situation in Ukraine has worsened.
