At Ukrainian gas stations, the cost of A-95 gasoline on Monday, November 25, remained at the level of Friday, November 22, at an average of UAH 55.66/l. According to the A-95 Consulting Group, the price of gasoline has not changed for a long time, and no significant fluctuations are expected by the end of the week ending December 1.
Experts note that gas station chains are trying to increase sales volumes by the end of the year. This is due to the expected increase in excise duties on gasoline from January 1, 2025, when the rate will increase from 242.6 euros/ton to 271.7 euros/ton. The increase in excise duties will inevitably lead to a rise in fuel prices, and market operators are trying to make the most of the current conditions.
“Networks are purchasing a cheaper resource to secure themselves against price increases. At the same time, they are actively attracting customers through discounts and loyalty programs, including fuel cards and coupons,” commented Dmitry Lyushkin, founder of the Prime group of companies.
By the end of the week, many operators will announce special offers as part of "Black Friday", which will allow consumers to refuel economically.

What to expect after the New Year?
After January 1, 2025, the increase in excise duty may lead to an increase in the price of gasoline by approximately UAH 3-5/l, depending on fluctuations in global oil markets. Meanwhile, the relatively low price of oil allows networks to offer favorable conditions to consumers.
