At Ukrainian gas stations, the price of A-95 gasoline on Monday, November 25, remained at the level of Friday, November 22, at 55.66 UAH/l on average. According to the A-95 Consulting Group, the price of gasoline has not changed for a long time, and no significant fluctuations are expected until the end of the week ending December 1.
Experts note that gas station chains are trying to increase sales by the end of the year. This is due to the expected increase in excise duties on gasoline from January 1, 2025, when the rate will increase from EUR 242.6/ton to EUR 271.7/ton. An increase in excise duty will inevitably lead to higher fuel prices, and market operators are looking to make the most of the current conditions.
"Networks purchase a cheaper resource to ensure themselves before the price rises. At the same time, they are actively attracting customers through discounts and loyalty programs, including fuel cards and vouchers," Dmytro Lyushkin, founder of the Prime group of companies, commented on the situation.
By the end of the week, many operators will announce special offers within the framework of "Black Friday", which will allow consumers to refuel with savings.

What to expect after the New Year?
After January 1, 2025, an increase in the excise duty may lead to an increase in the price of gasoline by approximately UAH 3-5 per liter, depending on fluctuations in the world oil markets. Meanwhile, the relatively low price of oil allows chains to offer favorable conditions for consumers.
