Ukrainian drones have turned into a cybercribe

Ukrainian drones impress not only targets on the battlefield, but also Russian computers. The latest Armed Forces tactics are the introduction of harmful software into drones, which allows to wage war on cyberfront.

According to Forbes , captured Ukrainian drones turn to Russians into dangerous traps. Instead of valuable technologies, a drone that falls into the enemy's hands can transmit the virus or even completely disable electronics. According to Reddit, some software modifications literally "burn" USB ports, block the possibility of flashing and prevent reuse.

Russia is trying to study and adapt Ukrainian drones for its own use, especially in limited access to high -tech equipment. But the latest "toppings" of drones are almost impossible. Even in the event of a parsing of equipment, preserving the image from a hard drive or trying to flash, the system can transmit data on Russian intervention to the Armed Forces operator.

Such mechanisms reduce the combat value of the trophies and increase the risks to the enemy: any interaction with infected drone can cause data leakage or damage to equipment.

The use of viruses in drones demonstrates the benefits of Ukraine in the field of IT and kibroborons. Simple in terms of the hardware component of the solution acquires new properties, if inside - "digital weapons". The minimal cost of viral programming allows you to turn even a cheap drone into a deep impact tool.

In addition to the defeat of technology, it is also a serious information signal - Ukrainian technologies are more complex than Russia expects.

It is not excluded that in response Russia will begin to introduce similar decisions into its drones. This will start a cyber -wearing spiral where both parties will be forced to constantly update security systems, antivirus programs and develop even more complex methods of contamination.

The war of drones is no longer limited to radio or explosives - it turns into confrontation of programmers and hackers, which affects the outcome of the fighting no less than the strokes of artillery.

The Ukrainian army, relying on its IT potential, creates a new reality on the battlefield. A drone from harmful software is not only a weapon, but also a means of restraint, intelligence and destabilization. Cyberization becomes as dangerous as real - and now every drone for the enemy can be a trap.
