Ukrainian F-16s can receive missiles with a range of 113 km from the US

In light of Ukraine's growing military needs, the United States is considering supplying Ukrainian F-16 fighter jets with modern missiles with a range of up to 113 kilometers. This decision will be an important step in strengthening the air power of Ukraine, especially in the conditions of ongoing aggression from Russia.

As Politico writes, they can be provided in a new package of military aid for 375 million dollars. It will be announced on Monday, the newspaper reports.

It is a Joint Standoff Weapon missile. At the same time, it is specified that it does not have the range requested by Kyiv.

However, "the flight range of 70-odd miles will allow pilots to stay away from the front line and Russian air defense systems, which will give Kyiv a new way to hit defensive structures and weapons depots on the front line, complicating the operations of Russian forces."
