Prices for popular medicines of Ukrainian manufacturers have increased by 70-110%recently. The problem of the NSDC is accepted with the prices inaccessible to Ukrainians. Yes, domestic production should cheaper by 20-30%.

The President of Ukraine by decree No. 82/2025 introduced the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine of February 12, 2024 “On additional measures to ensure the availability of medicinal products for Ukrainians”.
Health Minister Viktor Lyashko presented a number of decisions for the NSDC members.
With regard to the most sought after medicines of Ukrainian production, Ukrainian manufacturers have declared a reduction in selling prices per 100 most popular medicines by 30% since March 1.
Ukrainian manufacturers, together with other participants in the pharmaceutical market, have signed a declaration of reducing the price of medicines by the end consumer by 20%.
In addition, the government launches a number of regulations to ensure transparent pricing and proper competition, namely:
- The regulation of the marketing determination for all medicines, not just those included in the National, is established.
- Any marketing services for the promotion of medicines are prohibited until the reference pricing for all medicinal products implemented in the country is launched and clear rules of this process are not established.
- Renewed conducting inspections of the state
There is also an increased control over the presence of medicines in hospitals. These are medicines that are provided by the standards of treatment and for which the state pays under the medical guarantee program. These medicines should be given to patients in hospitals for free.
