Ukrainian online rates earned over 55 billion a year: who is in top

Despite the war, the overall fall in the economy and the continuous loss of the population, the gambling market in Ukraine demonstrates striking stability and even increase. According to the results of 2024, ten leaders of this industry have earned more than UAH 55.5 billion. This is only 1% more than in 2023, but a decrease in profitability shows that a fierce struggle for market share began in the industry.

Such data provides Openatable, analyzing the financial reporting of the largest players of Internet casino, bookmaker companies and the lottery market.

The list includes nine online casinos, three of which are conducting a bookmaker, as well as the only lottery operator-"Ukrainian National Lottery". Four companies have changed owners, indicating active assets restructuring.

Who has earned the most

In the first place-Favbet (bookmaker + online), which doubled in income to UAH 21.32 billion, or 38% of total income of the TO-10. At the same time, its profit fell by 20% - up to UAH 1.38 billion. At the end of the year, the owner of the company Andrei Matyukh was replaced by his son Dmitry.

In second place - Slots Yu. The company increased income by 3.6 times - to UAH 12.4 billion. At the same time, the profit reached UAH 2.55 billion - a record among all market participants. The company is owned by Pavel Zhurilo, who, by open sources, was previously featured in investigations into energy schemes at state -owned enterprises.

The third place was taken by Nyite APSPS (Super GRA brand), which showed the highest income growth - 7.7 times (up to UAH 4.68 billion). It is owned by the UK citizen Chubini Irakli, whose name was previously mentioned in the context of Cyprus intermediary companies for the CIS market.

Other players and "new blood"

  • Championcasino: income UAH 2.54 billion, profit - UAH 174 million. The owner is Andriy Pokrovsky, deputy of the Vinnytsia City Council.

  • Starblum Gaming (SLOROR777): A market newcomer with a profit of UAH 27 million for the first full year of work. The head is Vladimir Naumets.

  • Ukrainian National Lottery: Income increased 1.5 times - to UAH 866 million. The company received 56 million UAH of profit - almost six times more than a year earlier.

Only 6 out of 10 companies were completed with 2024 with profit. Their total profit is UAH 4.34 billion, which is almost twice less than in 2023. In that year, the entire top 10 earned UAH 7.25 billion together.

At a time when business across the country is faced with shelling, a fall in purchasing power and emigration, the online gembling sector does not only survive, but grows largely. Although taxes on this business are significant, the issues of transparency of property, changes in beneficiaries and possible schemes through lottery and bookmaker permits still remain open.
