In recent days, Ukrainians living abroad began to receive numerous messages urging them to join the Ukrainian Legion, a volunteer unit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine formed with Ukrainian citizens living outside the country. This step is part of the expansion of the mobilization and strengthening of the military forces of Ukraine against the background of the ongoing conflict.
Letters are sent from the "Rezerv+" application to users registered in it.
"Western equipment, training in NATO countries, Ukrainian combat commanders and like-minded people - this is the Ukrainian Legion, where everyone can find a position according to their specialty," the message reads.
The link leads to the website of the Legion, where it is said that it will be possible to go abroad on vacation, training will take place in Poland at NATO bases, volunteers will undergo 35 days of basic military training, and then professional training and combat adjustment, and the salary can reach 190 thousand hryvnias.
At the same time, many email recipients note that the Gmail system by default sends these messages to spam.
It will be recalled that back in July, 3 days after the announcement of the creation of the Legion, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland, Radosław Sikorski, stated that several thousand people had already applied for membership.
