Ukrainian truck drivers who avoided returning home after crossing the border are planned to be equated with kidnappers

The Association of International Truck Carriers in Ukraine drew attention to the problem of Ukrainian truckers who, after crossing the border, do not return home, leaving their vans to avoid being called up for mobilization.

Such a practice, according to the association, has serious consequences for the industry and a threat to road safety.

"I think that in the near future we will develop together with lawyers and will prove to the drivers that they will not only have problems with the police, but that the situation will be considered as car theft," said the vice-president of the Association Viktor Balin.

Information about such drivers is planned to be transferred to Interpol, so that they will not be able to find work abroad.

Balin noted that due to such drivers, access to the "Slyah" system of the entire carrier company may be blocked, which threatens to stop work.
