In recent days, the Polish Minister of Foreign Affairs, Radosław Sikorski, has announced an impressive interest in the Ukrainian Legion in Poland. Several thousand people have already applied to join this brigade, which consists of Ukrainian volunteers living in various European countries.
We will remind you that the creation of this brigade of Ukrainian volunteers living in Europe was announced only 3 days ago. Moreover, the contacts of the legion were not widely published anywhere.
"Several thousand have already registered to participate in this appeal. And what is interesting, many of them really want to serve and rotate their compatriots, but they say: we do not want to be sent into battle without being properly trained and equipped," said the Polish minister at the NATO forum in Washington.
According to him, Ukrainians mobilized in this legion will be able to return to Poland after the rotation.
"If every European country did this, there would be several brigades in Ukraine," the minister said.
