In the document, Ukrainian parliamentarians emphasized the importance of strategic partnership between the two countries, especially in the face of growing security challenges in the region.
The letter thanked the support of the United States of America and emphasized the need for further development of strategic partnership.
On behalf of the Ukrainian people, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine expresses deep gratitude to the President of Donald Trump, the Congress of the United States of America and the American people for solid and consistent support of the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, as well as for Ukraine's safety assistance, which contributed to the stabilization of the situation. Ukraine is deeply respected by the desire of the great American people to recover the global leadership of the United States. At the same time, we are firmly convinced that the leadership of the United States in the international arena is inextricably linked to the protection of the ideals of freedom and democracy, compliance with international agreements, reliability in relations with allies and friends
The appeal states that "the Ukrainian people seek peace like no other in the world, and believes that the role of Trump and his peacekeeping efforts will become decisive in the early cessation of hostilities and peace for Ukraine, Europe and the world."
