Maksym Mykytas, a former MP and suspect in a number of corruption cases, will effectively become the new owner of the state-owned Ukrbud. His associated company, Techno-Online LLC, won the auction, offering 805 million hryvnias for the real estate of the bankrupt state-owned developer.
The "winning" company is registered in the name of the fictary - 29-year-old Marina Ayab. And the documents for the auction were signed on her behalf by attorney Mykyta Tarkovsky - a lawyer who represents the interests of Mykyta's wife in the courts and is connected to other structures affiliated with the former People's Deputy.
Another bidder, Petro Oil and Chemicals, a company linked to pro-Russian oligarch David Bezhuashvili from Georgia, offered 1,000 hryvnias more. However, it was disqualified by the State Property Fund of Ukraine (SPF), which paved the way for Techno-Online to win.
Thus, the assets of Ukrbud, once the largest state-owned developer, may end up in the hands of a person whom law enforcement officers suspect of embezzling hundreds of millions during other construction schemes.
The deal is not yet finalized, but the winner has already been determined.
