Ukraine continues to strengthen its energy independence. According to the results of 2024, JSC "Ukrgazvydobuvannya" , which is part of the Naftogaz Group, increased the production of commercial gas to 13.9 billion cubic meters , which is 5.3% higher than in 2023.
During the year, the company commissioned 83 new wells , of which:
- 60 - operational;
- 23 - search and reconnaissance.
Particular attention was paid to the drilling of wells of the inclined-directed type, which allow efficient extraction of gas in hard-to-reach places. In 2024, 60 against 51 in 2023.
The total volume of drilling reached a record - 370,000 meters , which is 14% more than last year. This is the highest result in recent years.
Increasing the volume of gas production contributes to reducing dependence on imports and strengthens the country's energy security. The commissioning of new wells and innovative approaches to drilling demonstrate the effectiveness of investment in the industry even in wartime conditions.
