Ukrzaliznytsia JSC has launched a large -scale reorganization of staff: at least 25% of administrative workers are planned to be reduced. The reason is chronic staff shortage in key production positions: there are not enough conductors, drivers, locksmiths, electromechanics and repair crews.
Instead of dismissing offices, they are offered to work up and go to work "in the field" - that is, to a railway infrastructure that critically needs people. According to representatives of the company, this is where the lack of staff reaches 20%.
Real needs - on rails rather than in offices
The company emphasizes that modern war, changes in logistics and large -scale transportation of goods and passengers require a greater concentration of resources on the railway canvas. The administrative apparatus was too swollen.
“The offices have grown, but there are not enough hands on objects. We want to allow people to stay in the company, but change the focus of their work, " - explained one of the managers of" Ukrzaliznytsia ".
Will teach and translate: office - in depot
Both regional and central office units are reduced. Employees who will agree to retraining promise free training and a stable salary in new roles. Among the most sought after professions: drivers, assistants of the driver, conductors of passenger cars, specialists in the repair of tracks and locomotives.
Ukrzaliznytsia has previously opened kits for working specialties, but there are not enough people. The company hopes that the transfer of some administrative staff will help partially resolve a personnel crisis.
