"Ukrzaliznytsia" announced the launch of the new train #9/10, which will connect Kyiv with Budapest. The first flight is scheduled for December 15, and ticket sales have already started. The new connection became possible thanks to the cooperation of Ukrainian railways with Hungarian state railways.
The launch of the new route is designed to relieve the most popular international flights of "Ukrzaliznytsia" and provide direct connections with Budapest airport and further destinations, including:
- Vienna (less than three hours by road);
- Salzburg, Munich, Innsbruck, Zurich;
- Romania, Slovenia and other European countries.
The train offers compartment and luxury sleeping cars, which are usual for Ukrainian passengers, with enough space for luggage and a comfortable journey.

Route schedule:
- From Kyiv : departure at 10:16 a.m., arrival in Budapest at 06:00 a.m. the next day.
- From Budapest : departure at 22:40, arrival in Kyiv at 19:11 the next day.
The price of a ticket in a compartment car is UAH 2,800.
We will remind you that Ukrzaliznytsia and the National Police have neutralized the activities of an organized criminal group that has been extorting Kyiv conductors for years. A large-scale scheme of extortion from conductors and collection of "shadow cash", in particular from international routes, in which dozens of people were involved, was exposed.
