Ukrzaliznytsia has announced the launch of a new train No. 9/10, which will connect Kyiv with Budapest. The first flight is scheduled for December 15, and ticket sales have already started. The new connection was made possible thanks to the cooperation of Ukrainian Railways with Hungarian State Railways.
The launch of the new route is designed to unload the most popular international flights of Ukrzaliznytsia and provide a direct connection to Budapest Airport and further destinations, including:
- Vienna (less than three hours away);
- Salzburg, Munich, Innsbruck, Zurich;
- Romania, Slovenia and other European countries.
The train offers the usual sleeping cars for Ukrainian passengers in the coupe and deluxe format, with enough space for luggage and a comfortable journey.

Route schedule:
- From Kyiv : departure at 10:16, arrival in Budapest at 06:00 the next day.
- From Budapest : departure at 22:40, arrival in Kyiv at 19:11 the next day.
The cost of a ticket in a compartment car is 2800 UAH.
As a reminder, Ukrzaliznytsia and the National Police neutralized the activities of an organized criminal group that had been extorting money from Kyiv conductors for years. A large-scale scheme of extortion from conductors and collecting "shadow money", in particular from international routes, was exposed, in which dozens of people were involved.
