Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov has responded to another massive Russian attack by calling on international partners to lift restrictions on strikes on enemy military facilities. He also said that Ukraine is actively preparing its own responses to the aggression, including the creation of new weapons.
On the night of August 26, Russia launched strikes on Ukrainian cities, killing civilians, destroying residential buildings, and destroying critical infrastructure. In response, Umerov stressed the need to provide Ukraine with long-range capabilities and called for the lifting of international restrictions on strikes on Russian military targets.
"This night, Russia struck our cities again. Peaceful people were injured, homes were destroyed, critical infrastructure was disrupted. This proves once again that to win, we need long-range capabilities and the lifting of restrictions on strikes on enemy military facilities," Umerov wrote on his Facebook page.
The Minister also noted that Ukraine is preparing its own responses to the aggression, including the development and use of domestically produced weapons. “Ukraine is preparing responses. Weapons of its own production. Deep condolences to the families of the deceased. Together we will stand and win,” he added.
