Rustem Umerov, Minister of Defense of Ukraine, published his electronic declaration for 2024. The data indicate a significant increase in his salary and the availability of financial assets in the United States, where his family lives.
The salary of the head of the Ministry of Defense has increased more than three times. If in 2023 it received 442 347 UAH, then in 2024 this amount amounted to UAH 1 623 299. Umerov also declared an income of UAH 3.3 million from the alienation of securities and corporate rights.
His wife, Lila Umerov, lives in the United States with his children. Its income in 2024 amounted to UAH 1,841 308. The couple has accounts with the US Bank and the right to use the apartment in the US.
In Ukraine, Umerov rents an apartment in Kiev, and also uses another as an internally displaced person.
Earlier it was reported that in 2016 the minister's wife received a driver's license in Miami, and their children undergo speech therapy at one of the local centers.
