Russian troops have blocked the main highway connecting Pokrovsk and Pavlograd, significantly complicating communication between these frontline cities, according to current data from the DeepState map, which tracks the situation on the front line.
According to the updated map, the “gray zone” — the area of active fighting — has expanded significantly within Pokrovsk, covering the central and northern parts of the city. This indicates a worsening situation and an increased threat to Ukrainian defensive positions in the region.
Russian units have advanced in two directions at once — south and northeast of Pokrovsk, effectively bypassing neighboring Myrnograd. The distance between the “gray zone” around the agglomeration is now less than three kilometers, which creates a risk of encirclement for Ukrainian forces holding positions in the area.
In addition, the advance of Russian troops on the territory of the Dnipropetrovsk region is being recorded - towards the village of Yehorivka. This may indicate an attempt by the enemy to expand the combat zone and increase pressure on Ukrainian units on the border of Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions.
Pokrovsk remains a key logistical and defense hub in eastern Ukraine. The loss of the road to Pavlohrad could significantly complicate supplies and evacuations, as well as exacerbate the humanitarian crisis among the civilian population still in the city.
