UNICEF: 3.4 million children in Ukraine have limited access to water and sanitation

Over three million children in Ukraine face limited access to clean water and basic sanitation. UNICEF is calling for immediate action to address this crisis, which is becoming particularly acute in frontline regions where the destruction of infrastructure and the constant threat of shelling make life difficult.

And this is not the only trouble. During the three years of the war, children spent up to six months in shelters - thousands of hours under the wail of sirens. It broke their usual rhythm of life, and now breaks their psyche. One and a half million children already suffer from anxiety, depression and insomnia.

UNICEF is trying to help: it brings water, creates psychological support centers, trains specialists. But only this is not enough. The Ukrainian state should take greater responsibility, because these are not just statistics, these are real children. Without water, without a normal life, without confidence in the future. And this problem is guaranteed to have catastrophic long-term consequences for the future of the country.
