In Bukovina, law enforcement officers have uncovered a scheme for illegally transporting men of military age across the state border of Ukraine. The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine reported this.
As investigators established, the organizer of the channel was outside the country and remotely coordinated the actions of his accomplices. For $8 thousand from each “client”, illegal transportation to the countries of the European Union was supposed. The total amount of the deal was $16 thousand.

During the transfer of funds, law enforcement officers detained the organizer's wife, who was acting as an intermediary. Meanwhile, two evaders and their guide were captured near the state border. All those involved were detained, and the court chose a preventive measure in the form of detention for them.
The perpetrators were charged under Part 3 of Article 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - illegal smuggling of persons across the state border, committed by prior conspiracy for selfish motives. The sanction of this article provides for up to 9 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property.
The State Border Guard Service notes that cases of organizing such schemes have become more frequent, and emphasizes the inevitability of responsibility for participation in them by both the organizers and the "clients.".
