The government plans to sell state property to support the Armed Forces

The Government of Ukraine is considering the possibility of selling state assets in order to attract additional funds to finance military operations. According to information published in The New York Times.

About 20 state-owned companies are planned to be put up for auction, including such objects as the "Ukraine" hotel, a shopping center in Kyiv, as well as mining and chemical enterprises.

Officials admit that the assets will be sold cheaper than even before the war, but hope to create new jobs, tax revenues and attract investment.

At the same time, judging by the publication's polls, many Ukrainians are afraid of corruption in the sales process.
