The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine is considering the possibility of temporarily suspending reservations for activists, representatives of non-governmental organizations, public associations, and individuals who received funding from international structures. This decision should be part of optimizing the mobilization process under martial law.
According to a source in the Cabinet of Ministers, this is due to the decision of the United States government to suspend funding for USAID programs and other donor organizations, Law and Business reports.
The relevant lists are transferred to territorial recruitment centers (TRCs) for further referral of these individuals to military units for military service.
As previously reported, among the employees of anti-corruption organizations, individuals belonging to the category of top draft evaders have been identified. For example, Orest Rudy, Kalenyuk and another head of this organization, Vitaliy Shabunin, are evading military service ( that is why this phenomenon is called “shabuning”), the founder of StateWatch Oleksandr Lemenov , anti-corruption activists Yuriy Nikolov , Mykhailo Zhernakov , Vitaliy Sych , Maksym Savchuk , Maksym Opanasenko , Oleksandr Notevskyi, as well as the scandalous blogger Yuriy Butusov, the common-law husband of Radio Svoboda journalist Natalia Sedletska , Serhiy Yakob, and the common-law husband of Hromadske journalist Yaroslava Volvach , Ihor Nerivny .
