Ukrainians are in for another round of inflation - the authorities, at the request of the IMF, plan to significantly increase the excise tax on all types of fuel. The relevant project of the law has already been approved at the government meeting.
The bill envisages a gradual increase in excise duty rates on oil products and autogas until 2028. In particular, the excise duty on gasoline in Ukraine is planned to be increased from 213.5 to 359 euros per 1,000 liters.
The excise duty on diesel can more than double - from 139.5 to 330 euros per 1,000 liters, and on alternative fuels (bioethanol, biodiesel) - from 162 to 272.4 euros. The excise tax on gas should increase the least - from 52 to 70 euros per 1,000 liters.
By the way, fuel prices are already rising at Ukrainian gas stations. In particular, as of March 22, A-95 premium gasoline rose in price by 13 kopecks, to UAH 56.68/l. A-95 increased in price by 8 kopecks, up to UAH 53.25/l. The price tag for A-92 jumped by 10 kopecks to UAH 49.99/l. The increase in prices also affected drivers who use diesel fuel - it went up by 8 kopecks to UAH 53.65/l. But the price tag for autogas jumped by 12 kopecks, to UAH 28.07/l.
At the same time, the increase in the price of fuel will "hit" not only car owners - the return of excise taxes on fuel leads to a rapid increase in the prices of products, goods and services, because the price of fuel is included in the cost of everything from the beginning. Experts are already warning Ukrainians that the prices of all goods may increase by 15-30%.
