The Prime Minister of Ukraine announced the introduction of a number of innovations in the field of demining, including the creation of own machines for this purpose, the introduction of a corresponding market and an increase in the number of specialists of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SES). This initiative was announced by Denys Shmyhal during the Government meeting.
According to the Prime Minister, during 2024 it is planned to expand the number of divisions and specialists of the State Emergency Service in Ukraine. At least 200 people will be involved in humanitarian demining. In addition, a humanitarian demining market will be created, where the costs of demining agricultural lands will be compensated.
"We are creating a humanitarian demining market. We will compensate for the costs of demining agricultural land," said Shmyhal.
In addition, this year it is planned to create the first Ukrainian demining machines. According to the plan, the number of operators will increase by at least 10%.
