The enemy successfully broke through the defensive lines and grabbed several houses on the outskirts of Avdiivka. It is currently known that several groups of the Russian military penetrated the region without major supporting combat operations. The reason for this is the lack of personnel and technical resources to effectively control all landings and approaches in this area.
It is noted that the need to immediately strengthen Avdiivka with both human reserves and weapons was repeatedly expressed. Unfortunately, despite Supreme Commander-in-Chief Zelenskyi's promise to solve the problem and provide additional forces, the necessary minimum reinforcement was never provided.
In this context, it is important to immediately provide Avdiivka with combat-ready reserves that will be able to effectively eliminate the breakthrough and generally strengthen the defensive positions. Otherwise, there is a risk of a serious takeover of urban buildings by Russian forces, which may lead to irreversible losses. The responsibility for a possible failure in Avdiivka will lie entirely with Zelenskyi, who has guaranteed to send additional forces to this region.
