The commander of the 3rd assault battalion of the 5th separate assault brigade with the call sign "Aztek" reported on the air of the telethon about the situation in the area of Chasovoy Yar, where a decrease in the intensity of Russian attacks is noted.
According to the commander, there is currently no increase in Russian military operations in the area. "They have more infantry actions. The use of technology is also not observed. In general, they operate in small infantry groups of 3-4 people, we do not observe intensive assault actions", - noted "Aztek". He added that Russian forces are carrying out constant attacks in an attempt to damage Ukrainian logistics routes, using FPV drones, which are often used at night.
The commander explained why, in his opinion, Russia has reduced the use of military equipment in the area of Chasovoy Yar. According to him, this happened due to a large number of equipment losses, in particular due to the effective use of FPV drones by Ukrainian forces. "At the end of spring - at the beginning of summer, they tried to actively storm with equipment. Since we had and still have a normal supply of FPV drones, they were very badly destroyed on the approaches," Aztec explained.
He also noted that Russian support in this direction has become smaller, as active actions have moved to the Pokrovsky direction. As a result, assault operations in the area of Chasovoy Yar have become less intense, and Russia's main attention is focused on providing personnel and equipment in other areas, in particular in the vicinity of Bakhmut.
"The transportation of personnel to Bakhmut and the surrounding area is carried out, but the assault operations are not," the commander concluded, pointing out that the situation in the Chasovoy Yar area has stabilized and there are no significant changes in the intensity of hostilities.
