The CPD told whether to expect an attack from Belarus

The Center for Combating Disinformation (CCP) reported that the combat readiness check of the military forces of Belarus is an element of the Kremlin's strategy aimed at creating tension on the border with Ukraine. In particular, the Kremlin uses these measures to constantly escalate the situation, trying to keep the Ukrainian armed forces on the Belarusian side.

Information threat

As noted in the CPD, the main threat to Ukraine from Belarus today is informational. Constant inspections of the troops are accompanied by aggressive statements of Belarusian officials, which are part of the tactics of psychological pressure on Ukraine. However, there are currently no real threats of invasion on the border with Belarus.

Combat readiness check

Since September 30, the army of Belarus has started another stage of inspection of compounds and military units. The main focus is on assessing the ability of military units, in particular the Air Force and Air Defense Forces, to perform combat missions.
