The Khmelnytskyi City District Court sentenced a conscript who evaded mobilization, sentencing him to four years and two months of imprisonment. This is reported with reference to the data of the court register.
According to the case file, the incident occurred on February 29, when the accused arrived at the territorial recruitment center (TCC) to register for military service. After passing the military medical commission, which found him fit for military service, the man received a "combat" summons to training sessions. However, on the appointed day, he did not show up for the gathering of the mobilized.
During the court session, the conscript admitted his guilt and sincerely repented of what he had done, explaining his actions by wanting to rest before going to war. However, according to the court, correction of the accused is possible only in conditions of isolation from society.
The court also took into account that in July of this year, the man was already found guilty of illegal acquisition, possession and sale of the psychotropic substance PVP, for which he received a real punishment. Taking into account this previous sentence, the court applied to the accused an additional punishment in the form of confiscation of all his property, except for housing.
At the moment, the accused is in custody, awaiting the execution of the sentence.
