Employees of the Security Service of Ukraine detained two residents of Kremenchuk, who were engaged in collecting intelligence for the Russian Federation. The FSB agent group planned to spy on Ukrainian military airfields to prepare rocket and drone blows on aviation infrastructure.
The detention occurred during a special operation, when agents photographed the takeoff of the Ukrainian F-16 fighter near one of the military airfields. The involved in the case were two young people, 22 and 21, who were recruited by the FSB personnel employee. The Security Service has already identified her identity.
The agents collected the exact coordinates of the main and backup aerodromes, as well as the objects of aviation infrastructure of Ukraine. They had to provide the enemy with information for further missile attacks. In addition, the attackers collected photo reports and text information on each of the objects.
The detainees planned to go around five regions of Ukraine on route buses and rent housing near military facilities to spy on military equipment for several days.
Thanks to the timely actions of the SBU, it was possible to stop spy activity at the stage of initial visits to several regions. The detainees seized mobile phones with evidence of enemy work.
They are now in custody, and they are threatened with life imprisonment with confiscation of property for treason in martial law.
