In July 2024, the Ukrainian fleet was replenished with 4,787 battery-powered electric vehicles (BEVs), which is a 38% increase compared to the same period last year. This is reported by "Ukravtoprom".
The share of new cars among all BEV registrations in July this year was 21%, which is a significant increase compared to 17% last year. This indicates the growing popularity of new electric cars in Ukraine.
Passenger cars made up the main part of electric vehicles registered in July. Out of 4,684 units of passenger electric cars, 980 were new, and 3,704 were used.
In July, the following models had the greatest demand among new electric cars:
- HONDA M-NV – 239 units
- BYD Song Plus – 127 units
- NISSAN Ariya – 118 units
- VOLKSWAGEN iD.4 – 88 units
- ZEEKR 001 – 69 units
These models have demonstrated significant consumer interest in new technologies and environmentally friendly vehicles.
Among the used electric cars, the following had the most registrations in July:
- NISSAN Leaf – 529 units
- TESLA Model 3 – 433 units
- TESLA Model Y - 419 units
- TESLA Model S – 217 units
- VOLKSWAGEN e-Golf – 209 units
These data reflect the high demand for time-tested models of electric vehicles, in particular the well-known brands Tesla and Nissan.
General picture
Since the beginning of 2024, more than 29,200 electric vehicles with battery power sources have been registered in Ukraine. Of this number, 20% are new cars, and 80% are used. The increase in the share of new electric vehicles indicates a tendency to renew the car fleet and increase interest in ecological transport in Ukraine.
