Sufficient reserves of fuel and lubricants for the autumn-winter period have been formed in Ukraine. Deputy Chairman of the Ministry of Energy, Mykola Kolisnyk, announced this on the air of the telethon. According to him, today the fuel reserves are at the proper level, which allows balancing the energy system taking into account various resources for electricity generation.
Kolisnyk also noted that the required number of diesel, gasoline or gas generators was imported into Ukraine. This will become an additional backup power source for consumers.
"For all these groups of consumers, a sufficient level of reserves has been formed today so that prices do not fluctuate during the winter, and we have confidence in the possibility of a stable heating season," he emphasized.
We would like to remind you that Ukraine's energy system enters the winter season "with the highest possible level of readiness", as the planned repairs at the power plants were completed on time. This was confirmed by the head of the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine Herman Galushchenko in an interview with The New York Times.
At the same time, the former head of Ukrenergo, Volodymyr Kudrytskyi, expressed concern about the strategy of ensuring the security of energy supply. He advocated the construction of dozens of small private power plants across the country, which he believed would make the power system less vulnerable to terrorist attacks from Russia. This proposal, he said, could provide a more reliable energy supply under threat conditions.
