In Odessa, they are going to spend a considerable amount of the city budget for road repairs. Road management has announced two tenders for the current repair of a road network with a total area of 9600 m² for almost UAH 17 million.
The first tender for UAH 8.9 million provides work on the Admiral Avenue, Medium, Prokhorovskaya, Dalnytsky and Ivan Fawn streets. The second - by UAH 7.7 million covers the streets of Mastor, Panteleimon and Nerubai. The customer is the city authorities of Odessa, funding is carried out at the expense of the city budget.
According to the terms, the contractor should dismantle the old cover, equip the rubble-sand base, lay a new asphalt, replace the borders and repair hatches. The work must be completed by the end of 2025.
At first glance, everything looks standard, but the requirements of the tender documentation are raised questions. Only companies that have experience of similar works and have an asphalt plant within 30 km are allowed to participate. This significantly narrows the range of potential participants.
Thus, it is likely that the winner will be a company that has long been connected with the current government of Odessa - "Rostdorstroy", which has repeatedly won similar tenders without real competition.
Earlier, journalists have repeatedly reported Rostodorstroy's links with Mayor Gennady Trukhanov and the company's builtiness in the tender scheme of the city.
