In Odessa, a 24-year-old resident of Zhytomyr will stand before the court, who is accused of promoting the illegal transfer of a military person from Ukraine to an unrecognized Transnistria. According to police, the man has been conspiracy with an unspecified accomplice and can now spend up to seven years.
According to the National Police, the scheme was tried to implement through the Odessa region. All actions were coordinated by the previous design. The unspecified organizer found a "client" in Odessa, and Zhytomyrina - agreed to become a carrier.
The man came to Odessa, took the military and drove to the border settlement of Podilskyi district. His task was to send the evidence as close to the border with the unrecognized Transnistria, as well as to provide instructions on how to cross the state border outside the checkpoint, bypassing border guards.
At the entrance to the destination, the car was stopped by police. After the detention, a pre -trial investigation began under the procedural guidance of the Suvorov District Prosecutor's Office of Odessa.
The investigation is now completed, and the evidence collected has allowed to make a prosecution under Part 2 of Art. 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - illegal transportation of persons across the state border, organization and promotion of this by prior conspiracy.
The indictment was transferred to court. If the guilt is proved, the man faces up to seven years in prison with additional punishment - a ban on holding certain positions or engaged in appropriate activities for three years.
