In the Odesa region, a bribe was demanded for the transfer of a serviceman from the front line

A scandal broke out in the Odesa region related to the demand for a bribe for the transfer of a serviceman from the frontline to the rear.

According to the investigation, the chief sergeant received an illegal benefit in the amount of $4,500 from an active serviceman of one of the "combat" units through an intermediary. For this amount, the officer had to organize the transfer of a serviceman from the frontline to the rear military unit.

Law enforcement officers detained the chief sergeant on June 25 directly at the moment of handing over the entire sum of the bribe. The suspect was remanded in custody with the alternative of bail in the amount of 605,600 hryvnias.
