In recent days, an officer of the State Security Department, Ivan Pakhomov, who is also a security officer at the Prosecutor General's Office, died after taking physical fitness tests.
This was reported by sources in the State Security Department.
According to sources, the tests were conducted at temperatures above 32 degrees.
Sources note that the death of an officer during a test has exacerbated dissatisfaction within the UDO with the heads of the Department, which had previously led to the appearance of a letter from UDO officers addressed to the president criticizing the then acting head of the UDO, Maksym Donets.
"After the publication of the letter, a new head of the UDO was appointed - Oleksiy Morozov. However, he is a man from Donetsk and he actually continues to lead the Department. After the death of the officer, this command was given to take "voluntary consent" from employees to take credits. Since the beginning of the summer, more than ten employees have turned to doctors after taking credits due to deteriorating health. And in order not to take credits, some UDO employees even go on sick leave," the source says.
