The State Tax Service warns Ukrainians from a new wave of fraudulent letters, which are massively coming from the official addresses of the STS. In fact, these messages are part of a phishing attack - they contain harmful files that can be opened to the attackers with full remote access to the computer.
This was reported by the head of the traffic police Ruslan Kravchenko. According to him, the tax has already received dozens of complaints from payers from different regions.
"WARNING! The DPS has nothing to do with this mailing! All official email addresses of the DPS should contain the domain name "tax.gov.ua" after the symbol "@", - the institution emphasized.
Particularly dangerous are PDF attachments. After opening them, the device automatically installs a viral software that provides access to files, applications and even online banking.
The tax calls for Ukrainians to be careful and not to open questionable letters. In case of suspicion, it is recommended to contact the DPS directly, as well as report the incidents of cyber police.
