The Ukrhydrometeorological Center reported on the preliminary weather forecast for the summer of 2025. According to the expectations of forecasters, the air temperature in Ukraine in the summer may exceed the climatic norm by 1.5–2.5 degrees. This means that the summer will be hot again - similar to last year, when the temperature in some regions exceeded +40°C.
However, experts warn that the weather will be unstable, with frequent temperature changes and uneven distribution of precipitation. The weather forecast does not promise stability - both long periods of heat and short-term cold waves are possible.
According to meteorologists, such fluctuations are normal phenomena for the Ukrainian summer and have been recorded before. In particular, May 1999 was also distinguished by an atypical cooling caused by the spread of Arctic air. A similar situation was observed this year in May, when northern and northwestern air masses caused a cooling in most regions.
However, as emphasized by the Ukrhydrometeorological Center, these phenomena are local and temporary in nature and do not indicate a change in the climate trend.
In summary, the summer of 2025 in Ukraine will be hot, with average monthly temperatures above normal, periodic heat waves, and unstable precipitation, which will require special attention from farmers and water supply systems.
