In Ukraine, a large-scale inspection of more than 1,500 officials who received the status of persons with disabilities based on the decisions of medical and social expert commissions (MSEK) was launched. This decision was made due to suspicions of possible violations during the registration of such statuses.
The Ministry of Health, together with law enforcement agencies, will conduct a review of the validity of the decisions of medical and social expert commissions (MSEK) regarding the establishment of disabilities for 1,695 officials from more than 30 state bodies.
Data from the Security Service of Ukraine, the Security Intelligence Service, and the Prosecutor General's Office were included in the verification. Among the officials whose cases will be reviewed:
32% are employees of the tax service;
26% – employees of the prosecutor's office;
17% – employees of the customs service;
25% are employees of other state bodies.
Inspections will last two months. In the case of unjustified decisions of MSEK, they will be reviewed.
