The State Register of Sanctions has come into force in Ukraine, which currently includes information on 17,202 individuals and legal entities subject to sanctions. The National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine reported this.
According to the decision of the National Security and Defense Council, the register is an information and communication system that ensures the collection, accumulation, protection, accounting, display, processing and provision of information about all entities subject to sanctions.
The main goal of creating this register is to ensure free public access for citizens to up-to-date and reliable information about entities subject to sanctions.
The register includes 17,202 individuals and legal entities that are considered targets of sanctions. The register's website provides the ability to electronically obtain extracts with information about a specific individual.
The information sources for the register are decisions of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, as well as court decisions on the application of sanctions. According to representatives of the NSDC, the data in the register is updated promptly, is open and publicly available, except for cases provided for by law.
