From January 15, 2025, Ukraine will implement a new state program to support war veterans and persons with war-related disabilities. The initiative is aimed at improving the physical and psychological health of veterans, promoting their rehabilitation through physical activity.
Who can receive payments?
Payments will be available for two main categories of citizens:
- Participants of hostilities who have the appropriate status.
- Persons with disabilities obtained as a result of participation in hostilities.
How to apply for funds?
In order to get help, you need to follow a few simple steps:
- Register through the Diya portal.
- Provide the necessary documents that confirm the status of a disabled person or a person with a disability.
- Wait for the application to be processed, after which the funds will be credited to the bank account.
How can the aid be spent?
State aid in the amount of 1,500 hryvnias will be provided once a quarter. These funds can only be used to pay for the services of sports facilities, such as:
- Subscriptions to gyms.
- Classes in group fitness programs, including yoga, aerobics, dance classes.
- Personal training with a trainer.
- Visiting sections of adaptive physical exercises for persons with disabilities.
Quarterly assistance will amount to 1,500 hryvnias and will be provided without cash, without the possibility of spending the funds on other needs. The main goal of this initiative is to support the physical and mental health of veterans who, after the trials they have experienced, need help in adaptation and rehabilitation. This will also contribute to the strengthening of the general state of health of the combatants and their psychological recovery.
