In Ukraine, despite the difficult economic conditions, salaries in certain industries show significant growth. According to the State Statistics Service, in 2024 the largest increases in average salaries were recorded in three sectors:
- Postal and courier activities - salaries increased by 37.4%, reaching an average level of UAH 15,560.
- Construction - growth by 35.8%, while the average salary here is UAH 16,106.
- Aviation transport - an increase of 35.7%, which ensured one of the highest average salaries - UAH 40,443.
Despite rapid growth in construction and courier, these industries are still among the lowest paid. Only educators receive less — UAH 13,970. Instead, the highest average salary is traditionally held by IT specialists — UAH 50,752.
At the other end of the salary spectrum are employees of culture, libraries, archives and museums. The average salary here is UAH 12,478-12,497.
As of September 2024, the average salary in Ukraine was UAH 20,592, which is 22.2% more than a year ago. At the same time, these indicators have their limitations, because they do not take into account "shadow" incomes and salaries of undocumented workers.
Data from personnel portals such as work.ua and robota.ua indicate a difference in approaches to salary estimation. Work.ua reports an average level of 22.5 thousand. UAH at the beginning of 2025 (+18% per year). Instead, robota.ua statistics show an average figure of 20.8 thousand. UAH
Of particular interest is the increase in salaries in the aviation sector, despite the fact that civil aviation in Ukraine is currently suspended due to the war. However, companies continue to work abroad, maintaining infrastructure and preparing for a full recovery once the security situation stabilizes.
