In Ukraine, despite difficult economic conditions, salaries in certain sectors are showing significant growth. According to the State Statistics Service, in 2024 the largest increases in average salaries were recorded in three sectors:
- Postal and courier activities – salaries increased by 37.4%, reaching an average level of UAH 15,560.
- Construction – growth of 35.8%, with the average salary here being UAH 16,106.
- Air transport - an increase of 35.7%, which provided one of the highest average salaries - UAH 40,443.
Despite rapid growth in construction and courier services, these industries still remain among the lowest-paid. Only educators earn less — UAH 13,970. In contrast, IT specialists traditionally earn the highest average salary — UAH 50,752.
At the other end of the salary spectrum are workers in culture, libraries, archives, and museums. Here, the average salary is UAH 12,478-12,497.
As of September 2024, the average salary in Ukraine was UAH 20,592, which is 22.2% more than a year ago. However, these indicators have their limitations, as they do not take into account “shadow” income and salaries of unregistered workers.
Data from recruitment portals such as work.ua and robota.ua indicate a difference in approaches to estimating salaries. Work.ua reports an average level of 22.5 thousand UAH at the beginning of 2025 (+18% per year). In contrast, robota.ua statistics show an average of 20.8 thousand UAH.
Of particular interest is the growth of salaries in the aviation sector, despite the fact that civil aviation in Ukraine is currently suspended due to the war. However, companies continue to operate abroad, maintaining infrastructure and preparing for a full recovery once the security situation stabilizes.
