The first hospital-power plant was put into operation in Ukraine

The Khmelnytskyi Medical and Diagnostic Center has started selling electricity generated by it to the network with the help of solar panels installed on the roof. This was the first such case in Ukraine, People's Deputy Andrii Gerus said.

The solar power plant (SPP) in the center has a total capacity of 100 kW.

"Usually, solar power plants on the roofs of medical institutions produce electricity for their own needs. But now, when the electricity production of the SES exceeds the needs of polyclinics, the produced surplus is sold to the network during busy moments. This case is currently unique, but dozens of medical institutions can become additional sources of energy. These are also additional financial resources for medical institutions," said Gerus.
