The Khmelnytskyi Medical and Diagnostic Center has begun selling electricity generated by solar panels installed on its roof to the grid. This is the first such case in Ukraine, reported People's Deputy Andriy Gerus.
The solar power plant (SPP) in the center has a total capacity of 100 kW.
“Usually, solar power plants on the roofs of medical institutions produce electricity for their own needs. But now, when the electricity production of the solar power plant exceeds the needs of the clinics, the surplus produced is sold to the network during busy periods. This case is currently unique, but dozens of medical institutions can become additional sources of energy. These are also additional financial resources for medical institutions,” Gerus noted.
