The number of officially registered volunteers has increased in Ukraine

At the end of November 2024, 10,454 volunteers were registered in Ukraine, according to the State Tax Service. This is 1.5 times more than at the beginning of the year, but the growth rate this year was lower than last year.

Since the beginning of the year, the registry has been replenished with approximately 3.5 thousand new volunteers. On average, about 310 people were added to the lists per month. The largest increase was noted in January and May, when the registry was replenished with 548 and 533 new volunteers, respectively.

The leaders in the number of volunteers were Kyiv, Kharkiv, and Kyiv regions. Kyiv has 1,600 volunteers registered (15.6%), Kharkiv region has 951 volunteers (9.1%), and Kyiv region has 896 (8.6%).

The largest increase was recorded in Rivne and Zaporizhia regions, where the number of volunteers increased by 1.8 times.

Since the start of the full-scale war, 202 people have been removed from the register, including 127 this year. Most of them left the list voluntarily, and only one person was removed due to death or disappearance.

However, it is important to note that registering on the official registry is not the only way to help the army. Every month, more than 115,000 people open volunteer bank accounts, which is 30% more than last year, when about 85,000 people did so.
