The panel of judges of the High Anti-Corruption Court (HACC) has granted the claim of the prosecutor of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAP) to declare assets worth UAH 3.3 million unfounded . The corresponding decision provides for civil confiscation and transfer of funds to the state.
The case was considered within the framework of anti-corruption legislation, which allows the seizure of assets whose origin the owner cannot explain by legal sources of income .
This is reported by the National Anti-Corruption Commission.
The assets formally belong to the official's wife, but are actually used by the head of one of the departments of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Kyiv.
The decision was made, in particular, based on the results of lifestyle monitoring conducted by the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption.
It was established that the official's close relatives purchased an apartment in Kyiv and a 2016 Volkswagen Touareg car in 2021–2022 without having legal income.
The court decision may be appealed within 30 days from the date of its full text.
