VAKS confiscated property from the deputy head of the Poltava TCC in the amount of over UAH 1.9 million

The Higher Anti-Corruption Court (HAC) decided to satisfy the lawsuit of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAP), filed based on the materials of the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption (NACP), and to confiscate assets worth more than UAH 1.9 million from the deputy head of the Poltava Regional TCC and JV.

During the monitoring of the official's lifestyle, the NAZC found that in May 2023, his mother purchased a three-room apartment with an area of 97.7 square meters for over UAH 1.9 million. This raised suspicions, since the mother's financial capabilities did not allow such a purchase. In addition, the apartment was actually used by the official himself and his family, which became the basis for checking the legality of its acquisition.

In August 2024, SAP filed a lawsuit in court with a demand to declare the asset unsubstantiated and charge it to state income. The court agreed with the position of the prosecutor and fully satisfied the claim. The court decision can be appealed within 30 days from the date of drafting its full text.
