The Supreme Anti -Corruption Court of Ukraine (VAKS) has chosen precautionary measures to two former law enforcement officers suspected of extorting a large bribe from the entrepreneur. It is about the former detective of the Bureau of Economic Security Artem Matsievsky and expert National Police Vladislav Bilykov.
According to the Center for Combating Corruption, the court decided to take Matsievsky. However, it can be freedom if the bail of UAH is UAH 4 million.
His accomplice Blikov received a softer precaution - a pledge of 900 thousand hryvnias with a five -day period for depositing funds.
In addition to financial conditions, the court identified both the persons involved in the list of mandatory restrictions:
-
arrive on call to the investigator, prosecutor or court;
-
not to leave the borders of Kiev without the permission of the court;
-
report a change in place of residence or work;
-
refrain from communicating with each other and with witnesses in the case;
-
to rent all foreign passports for storage.
According to NABU and SAP, Matsievsky and Bilykov demanded $ 150,000 from the head of a private company in exchange for avoiding criminal prosecution. They also promised to "thaw" the accounts of the enterprise.
The investigation claims that both law enforcement officers exerted psychological pressure on the businessman - intimidated by a sentence, confiscation of property and inevitability of suspicion, if he did not agree to "resolve the issue".
After the exposure, both were released from the organs. The pre -trial investigation is ongoing, the case is considered by NABU under the procedural guidance of the SAP.
